Barista on Bike AKA Binny AKA Coffee Coach is someone i chanced upon on an online quiz conducted by the Coffee Board of India for International Coffee Day. I doubt either of us imagined, we would be the friends we are today. We have met less than 5 times if that but are good friends mostly because Binny is a great human being. Most of what i know about specialty coffee is through Binny, the rest is by looking up the terms/concepts that Binny told me on Google. i dont want to say too much and have you think iam biased (iam, but that’s for another blog post 😄)

i had the privilege of knowing this documentary from its inception. from the crazy idea to the struggles to the excitement and the sheer joy about it all coming together.
i have seen the rough cuts and in all it’s finished glory. the many different people, their unique take on #indianspecialtycoffee and the multitude of information that you see in this documentary has been brought to light only because of Binny’s singular efforts and passion for the same.

Binny has been working with many roasters, cafes and consultants in all spheres of coffee. He specialises in guiding the coffee farms with processing of their beans among so many other things. At the farm level, he helps with training ground staff regarding selective picking, drying process, helps them make the PSD and honeys that we roast and brew at home.
