today i give away some books,
books with pictures, words and dreams.
it has taken all of me,
and then some more.
smiles not loved, tears not kissed,
nor had pride choking me up.
no tantrums, no love, no dreams,
never the peace of your hugs.
no song, no dance, no prize ever won,
no lectures nor giggles over gossip.
no secrets, nothing shared,
no words nor tears or smiles.
