What i want to Remember
i got both these coffees from a free giveaway hosted by Attikan. and iam thanking my stars that i did stumble upon that IG talk cuz this would be my first proper introduction to speciality robusta. full disclaimer i have never been prejudiced against robusta, i even like the nescafe gold better because of the robusta blend. but i always chalked robusta to be bland and boring; dint think it would have the flavours that was possible from arabica.
these packs were an absolute eye opener. 2022 is definitely going to be the year of the specialty robusta. as a blend and on it’s own iam absolutely loving the musky, dark richness that it adds to the brew without taking it over the edge.
both packs were used up as filter kaapi (albeit black, please dont @me). for those 20 days, i started my day with this before yoga/exercise. this was perfect “coffee before coffee”. yes, amma liked it as a filter kaapi and she dint believe me when i said it has no chicory cuz accordingly “no, strong ah antha kick irukku” (it’s strong and has the kick that chicory laden filter kaapi has).
years later, when i many robustas older, i will come back to this post to read back on the kaapis that started it all. thank you, veer attikan.
