The EsTate : Greenland Estate, Valparai

The Greenland Estate is nestled in Valparai, Tamil Nadu, within the dominion of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve. This region primarily thrives as a tea-growing region, though coffee is gradually gaining ground. Encompassing 200 acres, the estate is perched at an elevation ranging from 5100 ft to 5700 ft above sea level, a uniquely lofty position that imparts exceptional qualities to its coffee beans.(1)

The Roaster : Caffinary

Caffinary is a brand founded by Caffi-nari Ms. Bhavika. I loved their black branding and all the lovelt coffee they roast! Caffinari first texted me in 2023 regarding their premium instant coffee. Then i got their samplers for specialty coffee and there has been no looking back. Love that they have samplers!
They have Vinayak on tech & design, Ajay and Hrishekesh to roast their coffees!

The Bean 😕

Its arabica. Not sure what it is. SLN9 i think.

My thoughts

this coffee was fantastic as an espresso. sharp, slightly acidic. it shines as a pourover too. very intense cut with a hint of citrus and spice. superb coffee.
