madras has always been kind to animals. mostly. most feeders don’t have problems. cows, doggos and crows alike come and share our food. they add such character to madras. streets are fiercely protected round the clock. no over ripe vegetable goes to waste and crows enjoy all festivities from ammavasya to deepavali with gusto.

this madras week, I urge you to take up feeding of the indies, some water bowls during our kathri veyils and even the tiniest you can spare for these babies.
